The Virtual Botanic Garden hosts a collection of 1941 botanical taxa (generally species, but in some cases down to subspecies, varieties or forma) of the Plantae, Fungi and Chromista kingdoms. Each taxon is presented with its hierarchical position and illustrated with pictures (total of 8326). Synonyms, links and literature references are given in most cases.
